Job description
- Design and layout structured cabling systems and network infrastructure for data centre builds and upgrades.
- Interpret technical drawings, floorplans, and specifications to produce accurate network designs.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and external contractors to ensure project success.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including schematics, layout drawings, and design packs.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to ensure feasibility and compliance with design requirements.
- Support troubleshooting efforts and redesigns where network modifications are required.
- Generate detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) from design specifications.
- Coordinate design work using Autodesk Navisworks for clash detection and 3D model integration.
- Stay up-to-date on data centre design trends, tools, and best practices.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Revit?, This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a background in Building Services, Architectural Design, Engineering or the equivalent, who are keen to contribute to the development of cutting-edge digital infrastructure., * Degree in one of the following or related fields:

Civil/Structural/Electrical Engineering

Construction Management or Construction Technology

Experience in structured cabling design, network planning, or data centre environments.

Familiarity with BIM/Revit, particularly producing LOD500 designs.

Knowledge of BICSI standards and/or RCDD certification.

Understanding of M&E (Mechanical and Electrical) services in a data centre context.

GIS experience is a plus.
