Job description

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our infrastructure team. This is a fully remote UK role, suitable for both early-career professionals and experienced network engineers.

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and supporting secure and reliable network infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments. The ideal candidate is passionate about network technologies, problem-solving, and ensuring high performance and availability., * Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless systems.

  • Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and security of all networked systems.
  • Support LAN/WAN operations, network segmentation, load balancing, and traffic optimization.
  • Implement network security measures, access controls, and firewall policies.
  • Assist with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) including VPC design, routing, network gateways, and security groups.
  • Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues, outages, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Participate in network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure projects.
  • Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and configuration standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT, security, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable network solutions.
  • Support incident response and root-cause analysis for network-related problems.

Requirements

Do you have experience in VPN?, * Must have the legal Right to Work in the UK.

  • Understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switching, routing, VLANs.
  • Familiarity with major networking technologies (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Aruba, HP, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network security principles.
  • Experience with troubleshooting tools (packet capture, traceroute, Wireshark, Nmap).
  • Understanding of cloud networking concepts (Azure VNets, AWS VPCs, GCP VPCs).
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Pay: £30,000.00-£90,000.00 per year
