Senior Systems Engineer - Cloud & Infrastructure | U.S.-Based Logistics Firm We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer with deep expertise in cloud technologies and enterprise infrastructure to design, maintain, and scale mission-critical systems for one of the leading logistics organizations in the U.S. This role is pivotal in ensuring high availability, security, and performance across a complex, distributed environment. Key Responsibilities Cloud Infrastructure Management Architect, deploy, and optimize large-scale environments across Azure and AWS, ensuring cost efficiency, scalability, and resilience. Enterprise Systems Administration Manage Office 365 ecosystem, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and identity/security configurations (Azure AD, MFA, Conditional Access). Performance & Reliability Engineering Monitor and enhance system performance, availability, and disaster recovery strategies for critical applications and services. Incident & Problem Management
Requirements
Lead incident response, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime and improve reliability. Automation & Optimization Develop scripts and leverage tools for infrastructure automation, configuration management, and deployment pipelines. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with network, security, and application teams to deliver robust, secure, and compliant cloud solutions aligned with business objectives. Qualifications Experience: 7+ years in systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, or related roles within enterprise environments. Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with Azure and AWS, including compute, storage, networking, and security services. Enterprise Platforms: Strong knowledge of Office 365 administration, integration, and security best practices. Networking & Virtualization: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, VMware, and Hyper-V. Automation Skills: Proficiency in PowerShell, Terraform, or similar tools for infrastructure as code. Distributed Systems: Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, microservices, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes). Industry Knowledge: Logistics experience is a plus but not mandatory.
