A top trading firm is seeking an HPC Network Engineer to join their team in London. You will play a key role in building the next generation of networking solutions for an organization operating at the forefront of technology and finance. Design, deploy, and troubleshoot high-performance network infrastructure for large-scale HPC environments. Collaborate with HPC Systems and other teams to scale research environments. Requirements
for next-generation computing. Develop scripts and processes to improve efficiency and automation. Mentor team members and provide detailed technical documentation. Engage with external vendors and partners for project execution and future initiatives. What We're Looking For 10+ years of experience in network engineering for large-scale HPC or similar environments. Expertise in Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols (OSPF, BGP, PIM, IGMP, RoCEv2, VXLAN) and spine-leaf architectures. Hands-on experience with Arista (EOS), Cisco (NX-OS), Nvidia (Cumulus), SONiC-based switches. Strong design skills in computing and grid networks, including capacity planning and lifecycle project management. Proficiency with packet analysis tools (tcpdump, Wireshark) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Salt). Familiarity with Python, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, GitHub is desirable. Knowledge of fiber optics technology and cabling standards up to 800 Gbps. Experience with public cloud networks (AWS, GCP, Azure) and AI-style network designs is a plus
