Job description

An global financial services organisation undergoing significant growth is seeking a Data Officer to lead data governance, quality and strategy across its London operations. The business is investing heavily in data, technology and risk capabilities, offering a collaborative environment with strong senior leadership engagement.

The Role:

  • Opportunity to define and drive the organisation's data governance framework
  • High visibility across Risk, IT and business teams in an expanding London branch
  • Lead initiatives around data quality, data ownership and master data management
  • Shape data policies, standards and regulatory alignment (including GDPR)
  • Influence the data technology roadmap and support the adoption of new tools

Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Develop and roll out the enterprise-wide data governance strategy
  • Establish and maintain data policies, standards and controls
  • Promote data stewardship models and accountability across the business
  • Define and monitor data quality KPIs and lead remediation initiatives

Requirements

  • 6-8 years' experience in data governance, data management or similar roles
  • Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, GDPR and compliance standards
  • Experience with data platforms, data quality tools and governance models
  • Understanding of risk management, operational risk or regulatory environments
