Job description

To provide Management and support for the Trust's wide and Local Area Networks in conjunction with the Network Infrastructure Manager.

Provide infrastructure support to ensure high availability, security and usability of the network that is transparent to users.

Work closely with the Network infrastructure engineers and associates to ensure any routine work is up to standard with quality assurance checks.2nd line escalation for problems that network engineers and associates need assistance with., To ensure high availability, security and usability of the network that is transparent to users.

Liaise with suppliers to ensure effective implementation of the design, by co-ordinated implementation of the new infrastructure.

To document network infrastructure as it is developed and maintained. Job description

Requirements

  • Significant experience of managing a network infrastructure across multiple sites., Essential
  • Educated to Degree level in computer related discipline or equivalent / demonstrable level of network knowledge. Additional specialist network related knowledge is advantageous.
  • Good understanding of Networking infrastructure and protocols

Desirable

  • Appropriate industry recognised qualifications e.g. CCNA or equivalent.
