Job description
- Take ownership of business requirements, challenge them when necessary, and propose appropriate solutions
- Understand existing software systems within the company, interface with them, enhance them, or implement new business logic on backend systems/API of the product
- Promote best development practices within your development team in alignment with the Tech Lead
- Handle technical analysis and studies, development and testing, as well as maintenance and quality assurance within your scope
- More specifically: you will be responsible for application development of new features as well as the evolution of existing ones. You will perform unit testing to ensure product functionality
- Ensure the continuous improvement of the application (performance/QoS, maintainability/code quality), fix bugs in production while adhering to development best practices and Delivery commitments
- Conduct technology watch
- Write unit and integration tests, and develop automation tools for daily tasks
- Maintain and enhance documentation
- Provide Level 3 production/testing technical support
- Work closely with frontend developers or partners to design and develop functional, high-performance, and comprehensive APIs
Requirements
- Experience with Cloud technologies (ideally Amazon Web Services)
- Proficiency in the following technologies:
- Java (8-17) + Spring Boot (2.6+)
- NodeJS (11+)
- Angular (9+)
- Bash
- REST APIs
- ORM (Relational and NoSQL: Cassandra (+Datastax), DynamoDB / SQL: MySQL, Oracle, MariaDB / Search index: Elasticsearch)
- CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Git, Containers)
Knowledge of the following technologies/architectures would be a plus:
- Infrastructure: Terraform + AWS (Lambdas, SQS, Secrets Manager, ECS + Fargate, EC2, MSK, RDS, ALB, S3, OpenSearch, Cost optimization)
- Event-driven architectures: Kafka skills (+ Streams + Connect) are a plus
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Experience with the Atlassian suite: Jira, Xray, Confluence...
- Understanding of test-driven development approaches
- Ability to adapt and handle various topics simultaneously while meeting test and production release deadlines
Additional skills:
- Strong written communication skills for writing technical specifications and maintaining documentation of developments and fixed issues
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Rigor, autonomy, a sense of responsibility, and proactivity are essential
- A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset
- Fluent in reading, speaking, and writing English
