You'll work as part of the web team, your work will involve:
Creating and managing websites Working with developers to fix website issues or develop new functionality Meeting internal clients to work out what they need Working with our developers and web host to deliver solutions Creating plans and prototypes with colleagues to decide how the website orapplication will work Testing code in different programming languages Building databases and transfering information between databases usingApplications Program Interfaces (APIs)use software to create the layout of buttons, links and pictures Who we are looking for…
As a Web Develop Support Officer we would expect you to
Requirements
Have knowledge of web CMS systems, knowledge of Drupal and LocalGovDrupal is preferable Understand the web accessibility requirements for gov.uk websites and apps Understand website security best practise Be thorough and pay attention to detail Have the ability to write code in various programming languages Demonstrate ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues Demonstrate analytical thinking skills Be flexible and open to change Show you can use your initiative Have experience of agile working within project teams
