Treo Recruitment is working with a fast-growing IT business in Salford to recruit an experienced 3rd Line IT Engineer. This is a hands-on, strategic role where you will design, implement, and manage IT solutions to support business growth and customer success. You will work with diverse clients across multiple technologies, including Microsoft, Server Virtualization, Enterprise Networking, and Cloud services.
You will also be involved in pre-sales technical support, solution design, and operational delivery, ensuring IT systems are secure, reliable, and efficient. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress their IT career in a supportive and dynamic environment., * Lead the design and implementation of technical solutions across multiple platforms.
- Provide 3rd Line support to internal teams and clients, assisting with incidents and troubleshooting.
- Monitor, patch, and maintain IT systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation for internal and customer systems.
- Assess IT risks and develop solutions to mitigate security threats.
- Act as focal point for security incidents and enterprise network monitoring.
- Support colleagues with skills development and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in 2nd / 3rd line IT support.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, Server Virtualization (Hyper-V / VMware), and Enterprise Networking (LAN/WAN).
- Experience with Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VOIP, SIP, ISDN, ADSL/VDSL, FTTC, FTTP, and Point-to-Point technologies.
- Experience with Ubiquiti Unifi, SonicWALL, or Fortinet products is advantageous.
- Previous experience in a Managed Service Provider environment is desirable.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and a proactive attitude.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
