Job description
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) function sets the overall technology strategy for the firm. They are responsible for making sure the systems, platforms, and data that support our advisers, clients, and investment teams are secure, reliable, and future-ready.
The Technology Graduate Programme is a one-year programme and offers an excellent grounding in fundamental aspects of technology within the fast-paced financial services industry.
Based in our offices in Cirencester, you will rotate across three core teams during the programme including Cyber Security, Cloud Operations and Data Engineering and Analytics supporting senior technologists and data experts on a range of projects and tasks This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to the breadth of technology within one of the UK's largest wealth management organisations before specialising later in your career.
Alongside your on-the-job training you will also advance your technical skills through a curriculum developed for our graduates and delivered through our St James's Place Technology and Data Academy., * In your first few months you will gain exposure to our tech stack, enterprise processes, and data systems
- Rotate across three core disciplines including Cyber Security, Cloud Operations and Data Analytics and Engineering.
- Develop your technical skills and gain certifications in areas such as AZ-900, AWS Practitioner, dbt, Power BI, Security+
- Support delivery of technology change initiatives and platform enhancements.
- Assist with data governance, data quality, and reporting processes on our cloud platforms (Snowflake, AWS, Power BI).
Requirements
- A recent graduate with a degree in the area of IT, Computing or Data

Desirable Skills (not essential - we will provide training):
- Exposure to data tools (SQL, Python, Power BI) or cyber concepts.
- Awareness of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Office 365).
- Familiarity with data governance, compliance, or IT security principles.
- Understanding of agile or project-based working environments.
