What you'll do
Lead data & AI projects across Pagonxt Payments to drive efficiency, transformation, and innovation across the organization
The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in defining/shaping the Data & AI strategy of the company, and in inspiring the organization to ensure a successful execution.
- Strategy and Leadership
- Define and execute the data and artificial intelligence strategy for PagoNxt Payments, aligned with corporate objectives and business priorities.
- Lead the adoption of Data & AI capabilities across the organization, promoting a data-driven culture and ensuring the responsible and secure use of advanced technologies.
- Project Management and Execution
- Consolidate, prioritize, and provide end-to-end oversight of Data & AI projects within Payments.
- Ensure the effective execution of projects under their responsibility, guaranteeing tangible results, technical quality, and compliance with deadlines.
- Act as the focal point to coordinate operations, product, technology, finance, and other Payments teams involved in data and AI initiatives.
- Productivity Improvement, Automation, and Process Redesign
- Lead initiatives to increase productivity of technology and development teams through copilots, intelligent automation, assisted code generation, and advanced engineering practices.
- Design and drive automations and process redesigns using AI, optimizing execution time, reducing errors, and eliminating manual tasks.
- Collaborate with business and operations teams to reimagine end-to-end processes using technologies such as NLP, generative models, automatic classification, computer vision, or intelligent bots.
- Establish efficiency and ROI indicators to measure continuous improvement in productivity and automation.
- AI-Driven Product Innovation
- Identify opportunities for new products, services, or capabilities powered by AI within the payments domain.
- Collaborate with innovation, product, and technology teams in the ideation, experimentation, and prototyping of AI-based solutions.
- Data Governance and Data Quality
- Promote the framework for data governance, quality, and management, including standards definition, lineage, metadata, cataloging, and quality controls.
- Ensure regulatory compliance regarding data use, security, privacy, and ethics in model development.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience in roles related to Data & Analytics, Data Engineering, AI/ML, or information technologies.
- Proven experience leading strategic data and AI programs. Experience leading generative AI initiatives or chatgpt adoption
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Quantitative Economics, or similar fields.
- A Master's degree in Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or an MBA will be a strong advantage.
- Proven ability to translate business needs into data and AI solutions.
- Knowledge of machine learning, predictive models, advanced analytics, and generative AI.
- Familiarity with generative AI tools (ChatGPT, copilots, development assistants such as Devin, etc.).
- Experience with process automation tools (RPA, AI applied to operational workflows, NLP for document automation, etc.)
