Data Governance Manager

• Overseeing the implementation and maintenance of robust data governance frameworks to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
• Collaborating closely with support and operational teams to identify areas for improvement in data management processes, driving initiatives that enhance data quality across the organisation.
• Working alongside support functions to provide expert guidance on best practices relating to data privacy, protection, and information security.
• Managing one direct report, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback to foster their professional development within the team.
• Contributing actively to regular reviews of existing data policies and procedures, recommending updates or changes as required by evolving regulatory requirements., * Comprehensive understanding of data governance principles, including frameworks for ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

• Proven experience working with data quality management processes and tools within a complex organisational setting.
• Strong knowledge of data privacy legislation such as GDPR, along with practical experience implementing related controls.
• Familiarity with best practices in data protection and information security within large organisations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to build positive relationships across diverse teams and communicate effectively at all levels.
