Job description

We're supporting a leading technology services provider in hiring a Cyber Technical Architect to join their growing Cyber Operations function. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping, designing and delivering secure solutions for enterprise customers as part of an established Managed Security Services team.

The Opportunity

The security landscape is evolving quickly, and our client is investing heavily to stay ahead. As a Cyber Technical Architect, you'll work across both internal operations and customer environments, taking ownership of solution design, from Low-Level Design (LLD) while providing technical leadership across a broad portfolio of security technologies.

You'll work closely with customers, internal engineering teams, and pre-sales to design secure, scalable, and robust solutions that align with industry best practices.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead technical security engagements, ensuring end-to-end designs meet requirements and align with standards
  • Translate HLDs into detailed LLDs and delivery-ready documentation
  • Support new managed security services and optimise existing solutions
  • Advise clients on effective technical and operational security measures
  • Support pre-sales with proposals, SoWs, and solution reviews
  • Provide technical sign-off for designs and operational artefacts

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of information security principles and industry frameworks
  • Experience with Detection & Responding technologies (SIEM, EDR, MDR, XDR), ideally Crowdstrike
  • Technical expertise across cloud and on-prem controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, AV, encryption, MFA, MS Directory Services, VMWare, Citrix/VDI, networking, and storage
  • Comfortable guiding engineering teams through deployments
  • Able to produce high-quality technical reports, design documents, and standards
  • Awareness of exploits, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies

Benefits & conditions

£70,000 - £80,000 + Car allowance + extensive benefits + flexible package
