Job description
The MIT Infrastructure Manager supports manufacturing sites globally in the design, deployment and operation of MIT infrastructure solutions. In this capacity, he / she ensures alignment of the implemented MIT infrastructure solutions with the defined MIT architecture, using standard components as agreed with FDT, and compliance with cyber security rules., The MIT Infrastructure Manager supports the global MIT capability teams (e.g., MES teams, IT/OT Integration team) in the solution design for the infrastructure underlying their applications, and coordinates with FDT and external suppliers to allow for an efficient and compliant implementation of the required infrastructure components. Your key responsibilities
- Support locations in the development and implementation of strategically important infrastructure technologies and services in a global environment (IT infrastructure and cyber security)
- Implement and monitor the implementation of infrastructure concepts and operational quality assurance measures
- Support capability delivery teams in the design of the underlying infrastructure for the fast and compliant implementation of their solutions in alignment with global architecture standards
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and FDT in the design of global standards for MIT infrastructure
- Support the detailed analysis and design of new IT infrastructure solutions and the translation of user requirements into reliably functioning concepts
- Support the implementation of cyber security measures at manufacturing sites globally, and drive the remediation of vulnerability findings in collaboration with the Cyber Security teams
- Support the Head of MIT Infrastructure in designing and documenting MIT Infrastructure standards, processes, and governance principles
- Assume responsibility for the monitoring and expansion of our global systems and services
- Analyze the causes of errors, develop solutions, and document them
Requirements
- (Master's) degree in computer science, business informatics, or a similar subject, or knowledge and skills acquired through practical experience
- Expertise in central systems such as virtualization, as well as the Microsoft product range (Active Directory, GPOs, RDS, etc.) and ideally also backup/restore (CommVault), Claroty
- High level of understanding and personal responsibility in the implementation of IT security
- Enthusiasm and contribution of ideas to the joint further development of topics
- Enjoyment of complex issues with interdisciplinary teams and departments
- Strong knowledge of IT security in at least one of the common standards (e.g., B3S, ISO standards, or BSI basic protection)
- Good analytical skills and the desire to develop professionally and personally in a dynamic environment
- Quick comprehension and willingness to learn, as well as the ability to work in a team
- High sense of responsibility and service-oriented thinking
- Structured and results-oriented way of working
- Enthusiastic and interested in the joint further development of projects
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in fluent English
- Willingness to travel to participate in international workshops
