Job description

We are looking for a technical, hands-on Data & Systems Manager to lead the setup and ongoing management of BUSY UK's performance, impact, and operational data environment. The role focuses on building clean, reliable data systems, improving reporting processes, and supporting teams to use data confidently and consistently.

The first priority will be supporting the data build-out for a newly acquired project and ensuring BUSY's UK programmes (CASE, H2E, OH One) have aligned, high-quality reporting processes. Over time, the role contributes to improved automation, stronger data culture, and greater integration across BUSY UK.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Programme Data Systems
  • Lead the setup and improvement of data systems for Connect to Work and other UK programmes.

  • Translate programme workflows and KPIs into structured datasets and dashboards.

  • Support programme managers with data quality checks, reporting cycles and audit readiness.

  • Ensure alignment with funder requirements and BUSY UK reporting standards.

  1. Performance & Impact Reporting
  • Build and maintain dashboards that combine performance, operational and basic impact indicators.

  • Provide clear reporting and insight to programme leads.

  • Support a consistent measurement approach across BUSY UK programmes.

  1. Systems Integration & Automation
  • Collaborate with Digital/Data partners to align CRM, case management and reporting systems.

  • Replace manual Excel trackers with automated tools.

  • Support simple automation or integration approaches.

  • Document system structures and reporting logic.

  1. Training & Support
  • Deliver training and drop-ins for staff using CRM systems or dashboards.

  • Provide troubleshooting and ongoing support.

  • Promote confident, practical data use.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Power BI?, 3+ years' experience in data systems, CRM administration, reporting or technical operations.

  • Advanced Excel (Power Query, pivoting, lookups).

  • Experience with dashboards (Power BI or similar).

  • CRM/case management experience.

  • Strong data governance/GDPR knowledge.

  • Clear communication skills.

Desirable

  • Experience in employability, education, health, or social impact.

  • Exposure to fidelity/quality standards (IPS, SEQF or similar).

  • Experience with low-/no-code automation tools.

Key Attributes

  • Technical, organised, solutions-focused.

  • Collaborative and patient in training settings.

  • Curious about how data supports impact and quality.
