Job description
This is an on-site position based in Lisbon. Remote or hybrid arrangements are not available. Candidates must already be in Lisbon or be willing to relocate. Full relocation support will be provided if needed. Here you can check our location: BrainRocket Portugal Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritize the Product Backlog, creating, organizing, and prioritizing tasks according to key business goals.
- Define sprint goals, setting the main tasks and objectives for each sprint.
- Prepare requirements, gathering, documenting, and clarifying both functional and non-functional requirements together with stakeholders.
- Participate in and run Scrum ceremonies, joining daily stand-ups and supporting sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Communicate with stakeholders, maintaining clear and open communication to secure approval on key decisions and directions.
- Refine the backlog, collaborating with the team to prepare and clarify tasks before sprint planning while improving and updating requirements.
- Manage change requests, collecting and prioritizing operational changes to include in future sprints.
- Define acceptance criteria, establishing clear conditions to verify that tasks are completed properly and meet quality standards.
- Maintain and control requirements, creating, updating, and ensuring that requirements match the current project status.
- Create and support epics, user stories, use cases, and edge cases.
- Participate in OKR planning, collaborating with stakeholders to set goals, evaluate progress, and plan quarterly objectives.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role, with direct ownership of requirements.
- Proven experience in large-scale and complex projects involving backend and frontend development.
- Strong understanding of the full requirements lifecycle and backlog management, with hands-on experience writing user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and task definitions.
- Ability to independently clarify and elaborate requirements, turning business ideas into clear and actionable development tasks.
- Solid knowledge of API integrations, product architecture, and core technical concepts.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to solve complex problems and drive outcomes.
- Advanced level of English.
- Experience creating and interpreting UML and BPMN diagrams.
- Experience working in Agile environments and contributing to well-structured sprint planning.
- Experience with mobile development (nice to have).
- Professional certifications such as PSPO Level I or similar certifications (nice to have).
