Job description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex, high-impact projects from initiation through delivery. In this role, you will be responsible for driving project success through strategic planning, stakeholder management, and team leadership while ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
Role & Responsibilities
The Senior Project Manager will lead end-to-end project delivery, developing comprehensive project plans that include timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies. You will serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders at all levels, facilitating clear communication and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
You will build and lead cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and accountability while mentoring junior project managers and team members. Critical responsibilities include identifying and proactively managing project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies, and making data-driven decisions to keep projects on track.
You will establish and track key performance indicators, providing regular status updates and reports to executive leadership and stakeholders. Additionally, you will manage project budgets and resource allocation to optimize efficiency and return on investment, while ensuring adherence to organizational standards, methodologies, and best practices.
Requirements
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, along with 7+ years of project management experience with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects. PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is plus, and Agile/Scrum certification is strongly preferred.
You must demonstrate expert knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices, with proficiency in project management software such as Jira, Asana, or similar platforms. Strong leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams of 10+ members are essential, as are exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing project budgets of $1M+ and possess strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail., We value experience in our specific industry or domain, advanced degree (MBA or Master's), and experience with change management and organizational transformation initiatives. Background in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, along with experience managing vendor relationships and external partners, is advantageous.
