Web GIS Developer - Remote

For an European organization in Ispra, Italy, we are urgently looking for a remote Web GIS Developer., * Develop and maintain web-based interfaces for the eStation 3.0 and Climate Station, based on user community requirements;

• Prepare installation and upgrade packages for applications, including database updates, and validate their functionality;
• Create and update user documentation, including GUI descriptions and manuals;
• Support preparation of training materials for web interfaces, including screenshots, diagrams, tutorials, and videos; provide user support and conduct training sessions as needed;
• Maintain and update the dedicated eStation website, including content publication;
• Oversee installation and maintenance of applications on development and production servers, including web clients

Work permit is not provided. Candidates need to be fluent in English., * Bachelor or Master degree;

• +5 years of IT experience;
• 3 years of experience with ExtJS and PostgreSQL;
• Strong knowledge of web application development, application design, and GIS technologies;
• Experience with DBMS administration and development (PostgreSQL/PostGIS);
• Proficient in Web GIS tools (OpenLayers, Leaflet), GIS servers (MapServer, GeoServer), OGC web services (WMS, WCS, WPS), and front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Drupal, PHP);
• Basic knowledge of Earth Observation data processing, GDAL, Google Earth Engine, and Python;
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems and containerized applications (Docker);
• Experience with code testing frameworks, IDEs, and version control (Git/GitHub) is a plus;
• Fluent in English
