Job description
As part of the Allianz Technology Data Office, we are seeking a dynamic Data Model to play a pivotal role in our data journey by providing hands-on support to design, implement and optimize data models and database structures that support business critical processes that harness the full value of its robust and dynamic data landscape.
If you are passionate about data and have a proven track record of designing and structuring data models that clearly represent data relationships and ensure data integrity within an organization, then this is the role for you.
What you do
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to gather and understand data requirements.
- Assist in designing and maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models for databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
- Contribute to the development of efficient data structures that support performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Ensure data models align with business needs and adhere to data architecture principles.
- Support efforts to standardize data definitions and promote consistency across platforms.
- Participate in data governance activities and contribute to the enhancement of the enterprise data model.
- Work alongside engineering teams to support the implementation of data models., When we do work with recruitment agencies, that engagement is formalized by a contract. Fees will only be paid when there is a contract in place. Without a contract in place, we will not accept invoices on unsolicited resumes, even if the candidate was ultimately employed by Allianz.
Requirements
- Solid proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with at least one relational database management system (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server).
- Strong experience in data warehousing concepts, big data technologies, and exposure ta Data Vault modeling techniques. Data Mesh/Data Product experience a plus.
- Familiar with cloud data services and infrastructure (Azure, AWS).
- Knowledgeable in data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin).
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- 4-6 years of experience in enterprise data models, data structures, data engineering, or database design, management experience a plus
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
