Job description
We are seeking a Cloud Architect to design, implement, and optimise cloud solutions across our platforms and systems. You will work with engineering teams to ensure our cloud environments are secure, scalable, cost-effective, and aligned with business needs. This is a fully remote role within the UK and is suitable for candidates with a broad range of experience-from early-career engineers with cloud exposure to highly experienced cloud architects., * Design and build cloud architectures that support business, technical, and security requirements.
- Develop architecture diagrams, design documentation, and technical specifications.
- Lead the deployment and optimisation of cloud infrastructure using AWS, Azure, GCP, or hybrid environments.
- Support cloud migration projects involving applications, databases, or services.
- Ensure cloud platforms follow best practices for scalability, resilience, performance, and security.
- Work with DevOps and engineering teams to implement automation, CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and operational processes.
- Monitor cloud systems, identify improvements, and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Implement governance, compliance, access controls, and cost optimisation strategies.
- Maintain architecture standards, operational documentation, and runbooks.
- Collaborate closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver successful cloud solutions.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Terraform?, * Must have the right to work in the UK. No sponsorship provided.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles (scalability, security, availability, cost optimisation).
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and automation tools.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (VPCs, subnets, firewalls, routing, load balancers).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, or similar).
- Ability to solve complex technical problems and work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for stakeholders.
