Job description
We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join a high-profile Cyber Unit dedicated to protecting critical services from cyber threats. This role is pivotal in setting strategic direction, defining standards and policies, and delivering secure, resilient solutions to complex cybersecurity challenges., You will work on revising and improving Infrastructure as Code (IaC), transitioning from Terraform to AWS CDK (Python), and ensuring code reusability, abstraction, and security. The position involves decommissioning Legacy infrastructure, integrating services with wider organisational systems, and enhancing availability and resilience.
Requirements
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Terraform, AWS CDK (Python) - Expertise in Terraform and AWS CDK (Python), including idiomatic patterns and refactoring.
Linux - Systems administration, Shell Scripting, and software development in Linux environments.
Python - AWS SDK, Lambda development, and testing frameworks.
AWS - Deep knowledge of core services, IAM, serverless architecture, security policies, and access control.
CI/CD - GitHub Actions and AWS CodePipeline.
Development Best Practices - Peer reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and test-driven development.
Security Best Practices - Application and infrastructure-level security.
