Senior DevOps Engineer/Python CDK (SC Clearance preferable)

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join a high-impact team delivering secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for critical services. This role focuses on improving and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within AWS environments, ensuring resilience, security, and best practices throughout the development life cycle. What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform and AWS CDK (Python)
• Transition existing IaC to Python CDK, refactoring and improving shared code
• Automate deployments and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and AWS CodePipeline
• Integrate services with wider corporate systems and partner organisations
• Apply security best practices across infrastructure and applications
• Collaborate with engineers to optimise processes and improve reliability

• Expert-level AWS knowledge: IAM, serverless (Lambda), security fundamentals
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code: Terraform and AWS CDK (Python)
• Proficient in Python for automation and AWS SDK
• Solid understanding of Linux environments and Scripting
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling
• Familiarity with test-driven development and peer review practice

• Knowledge of government or public sector environments
• Active SC clearance or ability to obtain
• Experience with security-focused design and compliance standards
