Functional Analyst GIS

Tasks and responsibilities

As a GIS Analyst, your responsibilities include:

• Contributing to the evolution of our applications: analyzing business needs, leading discussions, and organizing workshops to explain possible solutions and reach consensus.
• Defining solutions based on IT architecture, considering the end-to-end application and technology chain, and validating solutions with the business. Acting as the link between business and developers.
• Supporting the development cycle: handling requirements analysis and functional analysis using deployed methods and tools.
• Ensuring quality control of development deliverables, managing testing phases, supporting deployment, and maintaining reference documentation.
• Coordinating, developing, and executing test plans to deliver applications that meet production quality expectations.
• Evaluating, analyzing, and documenting identified bugs and ensuring their resolution.
• Participating in problem management and providing second-line support in case of incidents.
• Assisting the business with analyses using GIS desktop tools.
• Providing training and guiding the business through change management processes.

Your profile

• Fluent in English
• Fluent in French or Dutch
• Proven experience as functional analyst
• Proven experience in GIS domain
• Proven experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• The resource shows during the interview an analytical and critical mindset, rigor and precision
• The resource shows during the interview coordination skills, proactivity and ownership
• The resource shows during the interview good communication skills, is able to accept compromises and is customer and results orientation
• Good understanding of integration standards (XML / JSON)
• Professional level in the second language (FR or DU) (B2)
• Proven experience with BPMN / UML
• Proven experience with GIS Hexagon product
• Proven experience with Jira
• Proven experience with Postman / SoapUI
• Proven experience with SQL
• Proven experience with Enterprise Architect
• Proven experience within Energy Sector
