Cloud Database Administrator

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Cloud Database Administrator to join our UniQue team.

What will you be doing in this role?

• Support database migrations from on-premises to cloud environments.
• Maintain advanced database architectures in high-availability and disaster recovery environments.
• Possess knowledge of Microsoft reporting technologies (Power BI, SSRS, SSIS), Grafana reporting, and automation technologies (e.g., Ansible), with hands-on experience in at least two.
• Develop and configure tools to automate database administration tasks.
• Create dynamic reports for database management systems, addressing issues and considerations.
• Design standard reports and automation policies to manage database system activities.
• Have basic knowledge of other database technologies, including Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Stay up to date with software lifecycle and roadmap management for database products.
• Perform routine installation, reconfiguration, and backups of databases and related products in both on-premises and cloud environments.

Requirements

What will you be bringing to the team?

• Bachelor's degree in IT and minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in cloud database solutions, such as Azure SQL Database, and automation, ensuring efficient and scalable deployments.
• Expertise in database administration, cloud and on-premises database management, and security best practices.
• Skilled in database migrations from on-premises to cloud environments.
• Experienced in backup and recovery strategies, automation using PowerShell, and CI/CD integration, contributing to robust and secure database infrastructures.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server in both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of advanced architectures for high availability and disaster recovery solutions, including server clustering and virtual infrastructures.
• An active NATO SECRET security clearance is required.
• Proficiency in English language at a minimum B2 level.
