  • Applications, We are looking for a Manager - Network Operations (x|f|m) to join our Network & Security Operations team at Sartorius Corporate Administration GmbH. In this key role, you will be responsible for the stable operation and strategic development of our global network infrastructure. You will lead a team of network experts and ensure high-performance, secure, and future-ready network services across our international business landscape. This position is available for full-time. It is a hybrid role requiring some days on site at our headquarters in Göttingen with the opportunity to work some days remotely.

Grow with us - Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Network Operations team, including coaching, resource planning, and skill development
  • Strategically plan, implement, and maintain the global network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN, cloud networks) with a focus on scalability and efficiency
  • Monitor network performance and availability, conduct performance analysis, and manage incident resolution and escalation
  • Define and implement network standards, policies, and best practices to ensure consistent operations
  • Ensure network security by introducing and monitoring technical safeguards and compliance-driven processes
  • Collaborate closely with internal IT teams and external service providers to ensure smooth operations and effective interfaces
  • Manage the network operations budget, including planning, controlling, and optimizing costs
  • Initiate and lead innovation projects to continuously improve network processes and technologies

Requirements

  • Successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable technical qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in Network Operations, ideally in a global and complex IT environment
  • Deep expertise in network technologies such as routing, switching, firewalling, VPN, and cloud networking (e.g., Azure, AWS)
  • Proficient in using network management tools and protocols (e.g., SNMP, NetFlow, Cisco Prime, SolarWinds)
  • Strong knowledge of network security, including implementation and monitoring of protective measures and awareness of current threat landscapes
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire, develop, and guide teams through change
  • Excellent communication skills and intercultural competence
  • Strategic mindset combined with a structured and solution-oriented working style
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
