Job description

Local IT Coordination: Act as the key contact point between local operations and global IT teams, facilitating the integration of local requirements into global IT solutions.

  • Business Partnering: Engage closely with local business teams to understand their requirements and challenges, translating these needs into clear functional specifications for the global IT team.

  • Application Management: Administer and maintain local applications, ensuring their availability, performance, and security. This includes the installation, configuration, updating, and troubleshooting of applications, as well as coordinating with development and support teams to implement improvements and new functionalities.

  • Project Management: Lead IT projects, from gathering requirements to final implementation, coordinating with stakeholders and global IT teams to ensure timely and successful delivery.

  • System Rollouts & Upgrades: Support the implementation of new IT systems and upgrades, ensuring they meet the specific needs of the local market and comply with global standards.

  • Coordination of IT Services: Manage external IT local service providers to ensure smooth operations, security, and compliance with global standards. Oversee relationships with them, ensuring that SLAs are met and that services are delivered in line with business expectations.

  • IT Operations and Onsite Support: Act as the first stage of escalation for incidents and requests not resolvedby first-level support. Coordinate and oversee local onsite support, execute onsite support tasks when neededand coordinate third-party providers. Ensure IT services deliver the correct quality and value to customers.

  • Budget Management: Manage the IT budget under the supervision of Corporate IT and coordination with the General Manager and Finance Manager of the Affiliate.

  • Compliance & Security Oversight: Ensure that local IT activities comply with global IT and Security policies and procedures, and regional regulatory requirements.Manage and oversee all IT support operations in Girona, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT support strategies with organizational goals.

Monitor and improve IT service performance and user satisfaction.

Develop, implement, and maintain IT support policies and procedures.

Supervise and mentor a team of IT support professionals, ensuring their growth and performance.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology trends relevant to the life science industry.

Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for IT services and products.

Ensure compliance with security protocols and data protection regulations.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience IT management roles including production environment and project management
  • Having experience in industrial environments will be valued.
  • Proven ability to manage IT projects and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Solid business acumen, with the ability to understand and align IT services with business needs.
  • Experience in collaborating with global IT teams and managing vendors/service providers.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, workplace, security, and compliance principles (GxP environments)
  • A strong background in IT support and management, preferably within the technology or life science industry.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience in developing and implementing IT policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of IT service management frameworks and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
