Senior Data Engineer

At AgroVision, we're committed to developing smart software solutions that empowers farmers and agribusinesses. Our newly formed Insights Team is on a mission to deliver agile, customer-focused reporting that drives decision-making and operational excellence. We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help us rebuild and optimize our data warehouse, integrate data from our product suite, and create powerful reporting tools using Power BI and optionally QlikView. This is a full-time position based in Weert or Apeldoorn in the Netherlands, or in Hedensted, Denmark, with flexible working hours between 7:00-9:00 a.m. and 3:00-5:00 p.m. What You'll Do

• Rebuild and performance-optimize our MS SQL-based data warehouse.
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines across AgroVision products.
• Develop and maintain Power BI reports; support QlikView where needed.
• Lead the migration of Qlik Sense reports to Power BI.
• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner and the insights team.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across reporting solutions.
• Contribute to agile ways of working. What You Bring

• Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer.
• Strong skills in MS SQL, data modeling, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI; QlikView is a plus.
• Agile mindset and experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented approach.
• Helpful mentoring approach, where you support junior engineers or data analysts.
• Excellent performance analysis: you can identify bottlenecks and optimize systems.
• Fluent in English; Dutch or Danish is a plus. Our mission is to develop the Next Generation of Agricultural Software.
