IT Support Engineer

Are you a hands-on IT professional who enjoys variety and thrives in a technical, production-focused environment? For our IJmuiden site, we are looking for an IT Support Engineer who ensures stable, secure and alwaysavailable IT systems.

Together with the IT Administrator, you form a small and dedicated IT team within the Finance & IT department. You share responsibility for the full IT support of our production location.

What will you do?

In this versatile role, you are the goto person for colleagues and ensure a well-functioning IT environment. Your tasks include:

System & hardware management

• Performing maintenance and monitoring system performance and capacity
• Managing hardware such as PCs, laptops, printers, scanners, patch cabinets and mobile devices
• Installing, configuring and testing releases and new systems
• Applying IT security measures
• Analysing issues and escalating when necessary

User support

• Registering, analysing and resolving incidents (on-site and by phone)
• Taking over workstations when required
• Advising users to prevent recurring issues
• Coordinating with external helpdesks and suppliers

Workplace management

• Setting up and installing workstations for new and current users
• Providing instructions and support to colleagues
• Maintaining an uptodate asset register for all IT equipment

Documentation & administration

• Creating and maintaining manuals, SOPs and knowledge documents
• Keeping user access lists up to date
• Staying informed about developments in the IT field

Additional responsibilities

• Maintaining factory and office layout drawings
• Working with EPlan software for machinery and installations
• Keeping emergency contact information for IT suppliers up to date
• Participating in IT projects, * A small, close-knit IT team with short lines of communication

Your place in the organisation

You will work within the Finance & IT department.

• You report hierarchically to the Financial Controller
• You work closely and technically under guidance of the IT Administrator

Together, you ensure optimal performance of both our colleagues and our systems.

Do you have experience in IT support?, * MBO work and thinking ability, preferably in IT

• Experience in IT support and system management
• Accurate, serviceoriented and solutiondriven
• Strong multitasking and prioritisation skills
• Good command of English (incidents may come in in English language)
• Experience in a production environment is a plus
