Job description

Who are we looking for? BlockTech is a fast-growing algorithmic trading firm facilitating global cryptocurrency trading and expanding into regulated markets. As we continue to scale, we're looking for an ambitious System Engineer eager to learn, grow, and contribute to the backbone of our trading infrastructure. This role is ideal for engineers with a strong interest in Linux systems and who are excited about working in a fast-paced trading environment. What will you do? You'll work closely with senior engineers to support, maintain, and improve our core infrastructure. Over time, you'll take on more responsibility as your skills develop. Your tasks will include: Assisting in building and maintaining a highly available and scalable production environment. Supporting performance monitoring and helping optimize system stability, uptime, and efficiency. Learning to automate workflows and deployments using tools like Bash, Python, Ansible and Terraform. Helping troubleshoot and resolve, and drinks are provided throughout the day. Ideally, you bring: 3+ years of experience as a Linux System Engineer in trading, fintech or a similar domain. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A passion for Linux and open-source technologies. Some hands-on experience (through studies, internships, or personal projects) with: -Linux/Unix environments -Python scripting and automation -Version control tools like Git or GitLab Familiarity or interest in: -Ansible, Terraform, and AWS -Networking, virtualization, and IT security A strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to dig into how things work. A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership as you grow. Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
