Job description
A leading organisation based in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join their growing IT function. This is a key role responsible for maintaining and developing core infrastructure across Azure, on-prem Windows Server environments, virtualisation platforms, and enterprise storage solutions., * Manage, maintain, and optimise Azure environments
- Support and administer Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)
- Oversee virtualisation technologies (VMware or Hyper-V)
- Manage storage platforms, backups, and disaster recovery processes
- Assist with infrastructure projects, upgrades, and security improvements
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide 3rd-line support
- Work collaboratively with wider IT and security teams
Requirements
- Strong hands-on Azure experience
- Solid Windows Server expertise
- Proven experience with virtualisation technologies
- Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage systems
- Understanding of networking fundamentals
- PowerShell or other scripting experience beneficial
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
