YOU will have previous product or category management experience (2-3 years) and must come from the food retail industry. You may well be looking for you next career move from an Assistant Category Manager role You will have excellent communication skills as this role with involve working with other teams in the business and collaborating, influencing. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent You will have commercial awareness and acumen (understanding of trading Kpi's P&L management) You will also have excellent presentation skills and able to use Powerpoint (and Word & Excel) to a good or expert level The purpose of the role is in a nutshell ensuring the own brand is well represented and attractive to customers alongside top brands, as well as increasing the profit from the own brand categories. Reviewing all categories, developing those categories, creating strategies which will drive category sales and profits, which will also include reviewing customer and category insights and trends and spotting growth opportunities, price benchmarking, promotions etc. If you are a creative thinker and seeking a role / company to help you develop personally and professional then this could be the role for you.
