Job description

Our client is a well-established UK services company who provides commercial clients nationwide with a personal led often bespoke service. As they continue to grow, they are looking to appoint an operations and business support lead to work closely with the Managing Director and take ownership of the day to day activities.

This is a key role designed to free up senior leadership time, improve operational efficiency, and act as the link between the MD and the wider team.

This is a trusted, hands-on role for someone who takes ownership behind the scenes, ensuring the business is consistently prepared, informed, and running smoothly.

The role will involve:

Coordinating operational activity across the business Taking ownership of non-commercial tasks and priorities Liaising daily with suppliers to gather information Ensuring precise data input through the system where accuracy is paramount Ability to streamline current systems and processes and drive continuous improvement Taking responsibility for closing tasks Leading on meetings to ensure smooth running of day to day responsibilities This position offers real influence, autonomy, and the opportunity to make an impact.

Requirements

A highly organised individual who thrives on pulling tasks, people, and priorities together Previous experience within a service-led environment would be advantageous Strong administrative background with confidence working with data and figures Comfortable liaising with suppliers Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail A competent user of Excel and business systems Proactive, solutions-focused, and confident taking ownership Energetic, driven, and able to close tasks effectively A collaborative team player who can confidently lead weekly meetings
