Job description

We are growing and ambitious in our plans for the future and are looking to recruit a Junior Software Developer to support our expanding software platform.

Job Role

Taking direction from our Lead Developer, your initial areas of work will include:

  • Mobile optimisation
  • Bug fixes and minor feature requests
  • Improvements to Edge device exception handling
  • Documentation and client knowledgebase development
  • Assisting the Lead Developer as required

This role offers good scope to work on, deliver and implement cloud software for real-world applications.

Requirements

  • React and TypeScript
  • AWS or similar cloud environments
  • Basic Python scripting
  • Git and version control systems
  • Exposure to or interest in industrial standard protocols such as Modbus

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of commercial or practical cloud development experience.

An interest or understanding of electronic controls would be advantageous.

You will also demonstrate good organisational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to use your initiative.

Benefits & conditions

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
  • Some flexibility in working hours is required due to our international customer base
  • Probationary period: 6 months, after which the role will be confirmed as permanent
