Technical CAD / Product Development Engineer

They are seeking a Technical CAD / Product Development Engineer to join a growing and forward-thinking engineering team. This role will suit someone with strong CAD capability and hands-on manufacturing knowledge, who enjoys working closely with production teams to develop practical, high-quality products., * Design and develop products using CAD software, primarily Autodesk Inventor

• Produce accurate technical drawings and manufacturing specifications
• Review and check technical drawings for accuracy and compliance
• Work closely with manufacturing and production teams to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective
• Support the manufacturing team with technical guidance and problem-solving
• Ensure all design work aligns with company quality standards and values

The ideal candidate will have experience in shop-floor machining environments and be proficient in Autodesk Inventor, with a strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes., * Strong alignment with company values, including integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement

• Proficiency in CAD software (Autodesk Inventor preferred)
• Good working knowledge of metals and machining processes
• Strong understanding of GD&T
• High attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively

Desirable (but Not Essential)

• Experience using Autodesk Vault
• Experience designing door, cabinet, or architectural hardware
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Hands-on experience within shop-floor machining or manufacturing environments
• Experience producing BOMs and technical documentation for production teams

• Salary up to £45,000 DOE
