Job description
We have an exciting opportunity for Design Engineers to join an established company within the construction industry, who manufacture fabriction and steelwork. Due to company growth, this multi site business is looking for a Design Engineer to join their growing design team based in Newton Abbot, Devon.
We are looking for a background using 3D CAD (Tekla, SolidWorks, Inventor or similar), with any fabrication, steelwork, welding experience beneficial. Exposure to materials handling, bulk handling or quarry projects would be advantageous.
Package:
- £35,000 to £45,000 dependant on experience.
- Fully onsite role based in Newton Abbot, Devon
- Free onsite parking
- Pension contribution
- 28 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays)
The Design Engineer role:
- Produce 3D models and drawings using Tekla.
- Liaise with different members of the business, including engineers, fabricators and project managers.
- Designing fabrications used in materials handling, bulk handling or quarry projects
- Ensure that the designs comply with safety regulations and industry standards, as well as meeting client requirements.
- Assist with delivering projects in a timely manner adhering to a high standard.
- Office based in Newton Abbot, Devon., We serve as a bridge between candidates and clients, working tirelessly to identify the ideal fit and assist them throughout the recruitment process. Requirements
- Previous experience as a Design Engineer, Tekla Designer, CAD Engineer, Product Development Engineer or other design based roles.
- Experience with 3D CAD Design software, including Tekla, Solidworks or Inventor (Tekla is preferred but not essential)
- A background in bulk material handling or quarry plant design or fabrication, steelwork, welding, metalworking. Not essential but preferred.
- Must be commutable to Newton Abbot, Devon
