Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled WordPress Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress websites, ensuring they are optimised for performance, security, and user experience. This role requires a strong understanding of front-end and back-end development, with experience in various web technologies and frameworks. The successful applicant will collaborate with designers, content creators, and project managers to deliver high-quality digital solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards., * Develop, customise, and maintain WordPress/PHP templates.

  • Integrate third-party APIs and web services to enhance website functionality.
  • Optimise websites for SEO, speed, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Implement responsive web design principles using HTML, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Bootstrap and React.
  • Manage version control using Git or GitHub, ensuring code integrity across development cycles.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into fully functional websites.
  • Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure optimal performance across all devices and browsers.
  • Maintain documentation of development processes and technical specifications for future reference.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends in web development, SEO best practices, and security protocols.

Requirements

Do you have experience in jQuery?, * Proven experience in WordPress development including theme creation and plugin integration.

  • Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, SASS/CSS, JavaScript (including jQuery, TypeScript), AJAX, and RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular for enhanced user interfaces.
  • Competence in version control systems such as Git or SVN; experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins is advantageous.
  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), MVC architecture, OOP principles, and DevOps practices.
  • Ability to implement web design best practices focusing on UX/UI principles and responsive web design techniques.
  • Experience with SEO optimisation techniques and website analytics tools for data visualisation purposes., * PHP, Javascript and SASS/CSS: 1 year (required)
