Lead Data Architect

Principal Data Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise data solutions within a modern data platform. The role is central to advancing data maturity, defining architectural standards, and ensuring strong alignment between business strategy and technology delivery., * Own and evolve current- and future-state enterprise data architecture

• Design scalable data solutions aligned to business capabilities and non-functional requirements
• Develop and maintain data architecture and technology roadmaps
• Provide technical leadership, governance, and best-practice guidance to engineering teams
• Define and promote data architecture standards, models, and methodologies
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across business, product, engineering, and operations
• Assess emerging technologies, market trends, and industry developments

• 12+ years' experience across enterprise Data Management, including data architecture, big data, data quality, data modelling, data governance, data integration/ETL, metadata management, and data security
• 10+ years' experience operating at enterprise scale, partnering with stakeholders across multiple business and technology domains
• 5+ years' experience designing and delivering end-to-end data warehouse solutions
• Strong SQL expertise, including performance optimisation
• Hands-on experience with ETL and analytics platforms such as SSIS, Talend, Power BI, Tableau, and ThoughtSpot (or equivalent)
• Experience with data cataloguing, data lineage, and enterprise data platforms
• Proven experience working in cloud-based data environments and supporting migrations from on-premise to cloud
• 2+ years' experience leading or influencing distributed teams
• Background within regulated or complex enterprise environments; financial services experience advantageous
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred
