Job description
This role sits on the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO, and will take ownership of both technology strategy and product direction. You will lead a sizeable engineering and product function, balancing platform stability with evidence-led modernisation and long-term technical strategy., Define and deliver the overall technology strategy and technical roadmap
Ensure strong alignment between product direction and engineering execution
Lead and develop a large engineering and product organisation
Improve platform stability, quality and operational resilience
Make evidence-based decisions around architecture and modernisation
Establish clear technical governance, ownership and accountability
Work closely with the CEO and executive team on wider company strategy

Requirements
Proven experience leading engineering teams through legacy modernisation
Strong technical credibility across both modern and legacy software platforms
Experience owning and delivering technology strategy within a B2B or enterprise software environment
Commercial understanding of technical debt, platform risk and long-term sustainability
Ability to operate at board level and influence senior stakeholders
Experience building, mentoring and retaining senior engineering leaders
Confident balancing customer needs, operational stability and future roadmap
Experience in regulated, institutional or mission-critical software environments is beneficial, as is exposure to cloud-native or serverless architectures.

Salary: £120,000 to £170,000 per annum plus bonus and comprehensive benefits
