Job description
We're on the lookout for a friendly and skilled Service Desk Technician to join our growing support crew! If you enjoy helping people solve their tech troubles, this is the perfect place for you. You'll be the first point of contact for clients in various fields like engineering, construction, accountancy, and auto mechanics, delivering top-notch IT support. This is a full-time, permanent role where you'll tackle IT issues over the phone and through remote support, set up PCs and laptops, and dive into hardware troubleshooting. You'll also have the chance to lend a hand to our 2nd and 3rd line support teams when needed., * Client Interaction: Be the go-to person for clients, addressing their questions and tech issues with a smile.
- Remote Support: Use remote tools to quickly resolve IT problems and keep things running smoothly.
- Tech Setup and Repair: Build, fix, and troubleshoot PCs and laptops to ensure they're performing at their best.
- Team Player: Work alongside our 2nd and 3rd line techs on various projects.
- Outstanding Service: Go above and beyond to make sure clients are satisfied.
- Problem-Solving: Use your critical thinking skills to find innovative solutions.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records and provide clear reports.
- Team Spirit: Help create a positive, collaborative work environment.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, We want confident individuals who are comfortable with new technologies and passionate about customer service. Your friendly, professional approach will help keep our clients happy and minimise downtime as you work with the latest hardware and software., * Good knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems (7/8/10/11) is essential for troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with server operating systems (like Server 2022/2019) and technologies like DHCP/DNS is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and time management skills to work well with others.
- The ability to stay calm and think clearly under pressure.
- A passion for learning and growing your IT skills.
- Great customer service skills to enhance the client experience.
- Flexibility to adapt to new tech and varied client needs., * Ideally, you'll have over 1 year of experience in a similar role. Relevant Microsoft certifications would be a bonus., * IT Helpdesk: 1 year (preferred)
