Job description
Due to continued growth, we're looking for a Technical Solutions Engineer to join our Warrington team, supporting preconstruction and early project development with high-quality, buildable engineering solutions.
What you'll be doing
In this technically focused role, you'll work closely with Engineering, Preconstruction and Operations teams to develop robust methodologies and technical proposals that win work and set projects up for success., * Reviewing enquiry documents, client briefs, reports and specifications

Preparing technical queries, internal briefing documents and delivery plans

Developing engineering solutions and undertaking detailed buildability reviews

Producing technical documentation including:

Technical proposals & reports
-
Method statements & ITPs
-
Sketches, drawings and programmes
Supporting ECI tenders and contributing to cost and time allowances
Managing designers and coordinating design inputs
Ensuring independent design reviews and interdisciplinary checks are completed
Working collaboratively with stakeholders to refine and optimise solutions, Day in, day out, our teams deliver amazing projects in challenging conditions; developing, managing and maintaining the vital infrastructure and public spaces that modern economies, societies and communities rely on.
Requirements
You'll be an engineering professional with experience in civil engineering environments and a passion for practical, well-thought-out construction solutions.
You'll ideally have:

An engineering degree (or equivalent)

Working towards or holding professional membership (e.g. IEng / CEng - ICE)

Experience with contractors or consultants in the civil engineering sector

Knowledge (or interest) in specialist techniques such as:
-
Structural concrete repair
-
Strengthening & protection
-
Cathodic protection
-
Sprayed concrete
-
CFRP strengthening
-
Waterproofing & leak sealing
-
Post-tensioning, grouting or resin injection
Understanding of construction standards, specifications and methodologies
CSCS (SMSTS desirable) with awareness of CDM regulations
Strong communication, numeracy and technical writing skills
Good IT capability (MS Office essential; AutoCAD / MS Project desirable) Above all, you'll be curious, solutions-focused and keen to innovate.
