Job description
- The post holder will be responsible for creating or validating project-level test deliverables that ensure the system works as intended and according to requirements.
- Ensure defects are tested, retested and resolved in a timely fashion
- Ensure test risks and issues are escalated to the Test Manager
- Support business and technical users with testing.
- Support Test Manager in the creation and collection of test metrics, dashboards and status reports with tools such as Azure Dev Ops.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Test management tools?, We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Test Analyst to join our IT Department in a new role on a fixed-term basis, while the University undertakes a major project to replace its Student Record System (SRS) and transform the operating model for Student Study Services., You will bring a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. Ideally, you will:
- Hold a professional qualification relating to software testing, for example ISTQB Tester Foundation or ISTQB Tester Advanced - Test Manager,
- Have experience in interpretation and review of specifications, and in delivering complex test projects in roles of test lead and/or test manager
- Have good working knowledge of test automation, DevOps, test environments, test data, test management and SDLC tools Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a commitment to service excellence.
- Experience in testing Student Records and/or Admissions Systems
- Experience in a range of test and defect management tools and processes such as Azure Dev Ops.
