Job description

This is a great opportunity for an experienced IT Systems Analyst to expand their skillset in a modern scientific environment. This role will assist in the management of information technology to support the researchers of the Barts Cancer Institute and its faculty. This will involve close liaison with clinical research groups, research labs and administrative staff within the Centre to ensure delivery of quality researcher-focused support, services and projects.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of modern computing infrastructure: VMWare virtualisation, Windows Server concepts and tasks as well as Microsoft 365 tools and applications. A keen interest in developing their skills in data management, cloud computing, information security and scientific processes would be helpful.

About the company

This is an IT Services (ITS) post that is based in the Barts Cancer Institute (BCI) within our Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. BCI is a Cancer Research UK Centre of Excellence whose work aims to transform the lives of those with and at risk of cancer through innovative research in the laboratory, in patients and in populations. ITS is the department of the University that is responsible for the provision of all IT-related services. The department develops new IT solutions in collaboration with colleagues from across the University, whilst also ensuring the ongoing smooth operation of existing solutions.
