Job Description We're currently looking to hire a Data Ops - PMC Index Data Analyst to join L&G Asset Management Data Operations team The Data Ops - PMC Index Analyst plays a critical role in managing benchmark data within Scope, the core system supporting the PMC fund range at Legal & General Asset Management. This position is responsible for ensuring that all new benchmarks and amendments requested by PMC clients are accurately processed in Scope and promptly made available to the Performance and Investment teams for reporting In this role, the analyst will collaborate closely with Client Onboarding, Relationship Managers, the IMC Front Office, and Performance teams to guarantee that benchmarks are constructed and configured correctly and delivered on schedule. Additionally, the analyst is expected to provide support across broader business-as-usual (BAU) operational activities, assisting the team as needed to maintain seamless operations What you'll be doing: Interpreting benchmark instruction letters from L&G AM's clients relating to new benchmark construction, or existing benchmark amendment purposes Processing benchmark requirements within Scope (L&G AM's Front Office platform) to construct new benchmarks or amend existing benchmarks in line with the client instructions Liaising with Client teams, Front Office IMC teams, Performance and Operational teams to ensure BAU benchmark instructions are processed in an accurate and timely manner and communicated to the relevant business areas Providing support across broader BAU operational activities and assist the wider team to help maintain, The Data Ops - PMC Index Analyst is responsible for managing benchmark data within Scope and ensuring accurate processing of new benchmarks and amendments. The role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure timely delivery and integrity of index data.

Requirements

Investment Management Data, Financial Data Management, Index Data, Index Composition, Index Valuation, Performance Measurement, Performance Attribution, Performance Management, Market Data, Reference Data, Currency Hedging, Problem Solving, MS Excel, SQL, seamless operations. Maintaining the timeliness and integrity of core business index and oversee the daily production and delivery of index data to our data consumers Acting as one of the Index Data subject matter experts to our internal data consumers and stakeholders Working closely with our Vendor Management team in working with our index data vendors, including creating, agreeing and monitoring service levels and to track open incidents, requests and queries Supporting Data Services in becoming a global team, ensuring that cross-training takes place and that coverage exists to support BAU activities outside of London hours Qualifications Who we're looking for: Previous background in investment management data or financial data management preferred Good understanding of index data, index data providers, index composition and index feed file types Good understanding of index valuation types and calculating index returns Good understanding of performance measurement, performance attribution, performance management and performance reporting Good understanding of market data and reference data spanning equities and fixed income; this will include instrument identification, industrial classifications, pricing and corporate events Understanding of currency hedging Proactive problem solver who takes responsibility for finding a solution and for driving continuous improvement Proficient with MS Excel, file handling tools and SQL Whatever your role, we reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you.
