Job description

Data is only powerful when it is trusted. In Project Morse, ING is reshaping how mortgage data is mapped, governed, tested and delivered across a complex enterprise landscape. We are looking for a Senior Data Business Analyst who thrives at the intersection of data meaning, data quality and end-to-end delivery.

This is not a pure testing role. This is not a purely analytical role. This is where both worlds meet. Your mission

You will play a key role in ensuring that mortgage data flows accurately, consistently and reliably from source systems through the integration layer into ING's downstream platforms. You will translate business meaning into data models, validate quality through rigorous testing and guide stakeholders through complex data decisions. What you will do

You will own and execute large-scale data mapping initiatives, covering hundreds of attributes in the Mortgages Integration Layer. You will analyze and test data quality rules, identify root causes of issues in source systems and assess their impact across the chain.

You will design and execute functional acceptance tests, coordinate end-to-end integration testing and support customer acceptance testing. You will work closely with engineers, architects and business stakeholders to shape migration logic and post-migration processing.

You will proactively improve data models, challenge assumptions and help Agile teams with high-quality test data creation. You will document decisions, create clear work instructions and enable others to work effectively with complex data structures.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Data structures?, You understand data beyond fields and tables. You understand meaning, lineage and consequence. You are comfortable switching between detailed attribute-level analysis and high-level system flows. You see testing not as a checkbox, but as a quality discipline.

You are confident working in complex environments with multiple stakeholders, legacy systems and regulatory pressure. You communicate clearly, ask the right questions and bring structure where others see ambiguity. What you bring

  • Strong experience as a Data Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or similar senior role.
  • Hands-on experience with data mapping, data quality, and data governance.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and execute functional, integration, and acceptance testing.
  • Solid understanding of data migration and integration concepts.
  • Experience in complex enterprise environments, preferably in banking or mortgages.
  • A proactive, analytical mindset with a strong sense of ownership.

Why this role stands out

You will work on data that truly matters, in a domain where quality is non-negotiable. You will influence how data is defined, tested and trusted across the mortgage chain. You will operate at senior level, with real impact on systems, decisions and outcomes.

If you enjoy solving hard data problems and want your work to make a visible difference, this role was built for you.

Benefits & conditions

  • A great opportunity in one of the bank's most forward-thinking domains.
  • A top-tier team with space to grow, challenge and influence.
  • Working in a full Agile environment.
  • Salary till € 6.550,00 per month, based on 36 hours and experience.
  • Hybrid working model: 2 days per week onsite in Amsterdam.
