Job description

This person will be responsible for providing technical support for software applications used in production processes. The internal job title, on the contract, will be " Support Engineer Professional "., + Providing technical support for assigned applications.

  • Documenting support cases worked on for further analysis purposes.
  • Providing internal support for cloud related infrastructure topics.
  • Assisting in software products testing.
  • Providing pre-sales support.
  • Supporting market organizations in customer projects off- and on-site with assigned applications installations (proposing/ designing system architectures, implementation plans, configuration features, validation).
  • Training market organizations and end-customers.
  • Write technical documentations e.g. knowledge base articles, description of a functionality etc.
  • Creation/ adapting training documentation/ video.
  • Cooperating with Product Managers on customer support cases
  • Cooperating with R&D on development of new software versions e.g. discussing specifications, sharing know from the field, smoke tests etc.

Requirements

  • Technical education with preferably a higher level of further training in electrical engineering or IT with 2-3 years of professional experience in a similar position.

  • Good customer service skills.

  • Good knowledge of installing/ maintaining software needed for production process.

  • Good knowledge of root cause analysis and problem solving techniques.

  • Experience in technical support engineering or similar.

  • Good English skills (spoken and written).

  • Technical experience (TCP/IP network, Database (MS SQL), Windows Server OS, Virtualizations, Web Services, etc.) in application support of large distributed client-server systems.

  • Experience in deploying, securing and operating container-based systems such as Docker or Kubernetes on private and public clouds (such as Microsoft Azure).

  • Understanding of large-scale distributed systems, advanced concepts of computer architecture and microservices (load balancers, caching, web servers, application servers, networking).

  • Experience in international work environment. This will be your additional asset:

  • Good knowledge of SQL and MS SQL Servers

  • Basic knowledge of validation of computer systems

  • Good knowledge of TCP/IP networks

  • Experience in industrial environment, with knowledge of IT systems in production processes

  • Experience as field technician in industrial environment
