Job description

Thermo Fisher Scientific provides an outstanding opportunity for a motivated Associate System Specialist to become part of our vibrant Informatics group. This role fits individuals who flourish in teamwork-focused environments and wish to support our goal of making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

Review and triage tickets in ServiceNow to ensure timely and accurate issue resolution.

Triage and resolve issue tickets quickly for an enterprise application.

Apply programming skills to assist in troubleshooting problems, with preferred experience in React, Python, JavaScript, Django, and Vite.

Ensure compliance with rigorous quality standards and guidelines.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.

In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Experience requirements:

Experience reviewing and triaging tickets is required.

Experience with Python is required.

Experience troubleshooting issues (VPN, access, etc.) with end users is required.

Experience programming with React, Django and Vite is preferred.

Experience with ServiceNow is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to resolve complex issues.

Experience with ServiceNow or similar IT service management tools.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Capability to operate autonomously and collaborate effectively within a team.

Location: Fully remote on the East Coast. Relocation assistance is NOT provided.
