As Senior Salesforce Developer - Technical & Release Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in driving technical leadership and release management within our growing Salesforce estate. Reporting to the Design & Build Engineering Manager, you'll collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, QA and Support teams to ensure high-quality, reliable delivery of Salesforce change.
What you will be doing
- Lead the technical design and delivery of complex Salesforce solutions, ensuring scalability, security and alignment with architectural standards.
- Act as design authority for changes, conducting code/design reviews and championing Salesforce best practices (Apex, LWC, Flows, integrations).
- Oversee release management: define and improve deployment standards using and tools like Gearset Project Pipelines; set release gates and reduce deployment risk.
- Drive improvements in delivery processes across Design, Build, Test and Release; identify gaps and implement pragmatic solutions to increase reliability and speed.
- Collaborate with internal/external teams, providing technical guidance and mentorship; translate complex topics for non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on Salesforce development experience (Apex, LWC, Flows, APIs).
- Strong background in enterprise-scale solution design and release management (including Gearset Project Pipelines).
- Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture, integrations and deployment strategies.
- Process-driven, organised, pragmatic and calm under pressure, especially around releases.
- Excellent communicator, able to influence and lead across teams without direct management responsibility.
- Preferred: Salesforce Lightning, App Builder, Data Cloud, Agile delivery, previous technical/delivery lead experience.
Desirable certifications
- Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I & II, Administrator) highly desirable.

We are based in Bristol, BS1 5HL. This role is permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
