Job description
We are seeking a Technical Administrator to join our UK Aerospace team. As part of this dynamic team, you will play a vital role in contributing to the achievement of TSS UK Aerospace objectives.
Reporting to the Senior Quality Engineer, the primary function of this role is to ensure the manufacturing facility is provided with first-class engineering administrative support. This role will entail development of the organisation's data management to ensure the facility maintains a proactive culture to support business operations.
Working Core Days which consist of a flexi start time of 07:45 - 08:15, finishing at 16:30 - 17:15 (dependent on start time) Monday to Thursday. Then, Friday 8am - 12:30 half day.
Responsibilities will include
- Data logging of non-conformances and first contact scrap review.
- Raising of Customer concerns, including issuing Quality Alerts, supporting containment activities etc.
- Raise engineering change requests to support continuous improvements.
- Ensuring document revision levels are maintained correctly in the MRP system
- Manage SOP/MIS/VA documentation within the Q-pulse system.
- Digital storage and revision control of inspection/control sheets.
- Maintenance of the Company document management system (Q-Pulse), including updating and issuing documentation (ie. specifications/drawings/Loftings/Inspection Control Sheets etc).
- Support with Contract Review to ensure compliance to Customer requirements.
- Assisting Design Engineers with CAD data management including basic viewing and file handling in CATIA
Requirements
Do you have experience in MRP?, We are looking for an individual with the skillset and passion to make a positive impact within the sealing solutions industry. Ideally a person with previous manufacturing and administration experience. Someone with the ability to make informed decisions along with great written and verbal skills. A team player that is able to liaise with all levels of business and be assertive and adaptive to their environment.
- Experience of quality expectations of products manufactured.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and engineering documentation.
- Basic experiences with CAD software (CATIA preferred) to view and navigate models.
- Expectations to learn; common moulding defects, aerospace standards, use of inspection equipment.
- Computer literate with familiarity with relevant software packages.
- Understanding of traveller/manufacturing routing and traceability requirements.
