Job description
The Senior Python Developer role focuses on building, maintaining, and owning several core backend services. This is a hands-on engineering position with strong responsibility for backend architecture, APIs, automation, and cloud-native Python services.
You will work closely with DevOps and product teams, taking full ownership of Python services across their lifecycle - from design and implementation to deployment, monitoring, and long-term reliability., * Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and Django (main framework)
- Build and evolve REST APIs, backend components, and automation workflows
- Own services end-to-end: development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance
- Collaborate closely with DevOps on cloud-native, scalable deployments
- Ensure strong CI/CD, testing, and automation practices
- Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decisions
- Support ML/AI-related integrations when required
- Participate in planning, backlog refinement, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work across multiple services and projects with a high level of autonomy
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience in Python engineering
- Strong, hands-on experience with Django and backend service development
- Proven experience owning backend services in production environments
- Solid understanding of microservice architectures
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation
- Cloud-native mindset and familiarity with distributed systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Clear communication skills within cross-functional teams
Nice to have:
- Experience with Java or Go
- Strong SQL / relational database experience
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Familiarity with AI/ML workflows, data pipelines, or ML integrations
