Job description

Admiral Money is hiring! We're looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team. You'll work with the latest technologies and platforms, including AWS, Azure, Terraform, M365 E5, our Telephony/Contact Centre (AWS Connect), and Gen AI.

You'll be part of a fun, fast-paced, and friendly environment that values innovation and cutting-edge technology. Together with the team, you'll maintain, deploy, and continually monitor and improve the services that make up Admiral Money's infrastructure., We're seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. This role ensures that existing and new services are operational and meet business needs. It involves a mix of 3rd line escalation and delivery work.

This is an exciting time to join us as we build a cloud-first infrastructure to support new initiatives and projects over the coming years.

You'll join a highly motivated, friendly, and fast-paced IT Infrastructure team with a large programme of change ahead. Acting as an escalation point for IT support for the operations team (3rd line), you'll also have opportunities to improve processes and work with the latest technology as the business grows.

We're looking for someone organised, enthusiastic, and proactive - a problem solver and strong communicator who can work closely with colleagues and third parties involved in service delivery. You'll be trusted and approachable, eager to learn, and committed to developing your skills and career as the company grows.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 3rd line support, resolving issues and managing internal and third-party escalations while ensuring service levels for performance, availability, reliability, and integrity.
  • Monitor services to identify potential incidents and assist in service restoration when required.
  • Plan and deliver new services and manage changes to existing services, including creating SOPs/Runbooks and mentoring 1st/2nd line operations teams.
  • Provide SME knowledge and collaborate with Architecture & Security teams to deliver new services for colleagues and customers.
  • Proactively support and maintain business security, monitor attempted intrusions, virus threats, and security risks.
  • Support audits, governance, and regulatory actions assigned to the infrastructure team.

Requirements

Do you have experience in macOS?, * Proven AWS and Azure 3rd line support experience (minimum 2 years).

  • Knowledge of security best practices within AWS & Azure.
  • M365 administration: Azure AD, Endpoint/Intune, Exchange, SharePoint & Teams.
  • AWS Connect / Telephony / Chat Bot & Gen AI experience is highly advantageous.
  • Backup and recovery experience using Veeam/Rubrik or similar.

Desirable

  • Expertise in monitoring and alerting services and platforms.
  • OSX/Linux experience and any JAMF certifications.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, and cross-functional teams.
  • Gen AI experience.
  • IaC experience, ideally Terraform/Terragrunt.
  • Cloud certifications in AWS/Azure.
  • ITIL experience or certification.
